ow to Remove the Battery in a Benrus Watch

Benrus was founded in 1921 by three Romanian immigrants to the United States. Benrus quickly grew from a small startup to a globally recognized company. While the original Benrus company closed in the 1970s, some modern companies license the name for use with limited watch runs. Most Benrus watch backs will be pressure-fit or screw-off. Screw-off backs will have a set of small indentations around the back plate for an opener tool, while pressure-fit backs will only have a small notch for a prying tool.
Pressure-Fit Back
1: Place the watch face down on top of the cloth to prevent damaging the watch while working on the back.
2: Examine the watch back to locate the small dent that allows the case knife to be slipped under the case.
3: Slide the knife blade under the back of the watch gently, sliding the knife in and up to lever off the back.
4: Examine the inside of the watch and remove the battery. If replacing the battery, be careful to place the new battery in the same location and orientation as the removed battery.
5: Push the watch back onto the watch, being careful to keep any weather seal in place.
Screw-Off Back
1: Place the watch face down on top of the cloth to prevent damaging the watch while working on the back.
2: Follow the directions included with your watch case opener to attach the opener to the back of the watch case.
3: Twist the case opener in a counterclockwise direction to remove the back of the watch.
4: Examine the inside of the watch and remove the battery. If replacing the battery,alexander wang, be careful to place the new battery in the same location and orientation as the removed battery.
5: Use the watch opener to screw the back to the case in a clockwise direction, being careful to keep any weather seal in place.
